Walton High School consistently ranks among the top public high schools in Georgia. Located in the East Cobb area of Marietta, its STEM magnet program draws students from across Cobb County who are serious about math, science, and engineering. Students frequently participate in robotics competitions, Science Olympiad, and math league, and the school offers advanced course sequences that push well beyond the standard curriculum. The academic culture is rigorous, the AP participation rate is among the highest in the state, and the college admissions expectations from families are accordingly intense.
Walton students often have strong quantitative foundations, but the gap between classroom performance and standardized test performance can be wider than families expect. A student who earns A’s in AP Calculus may still underperform on the SAT math section because the test rewards speed, pattern recognition, and strategic decision-making in ways that classroom exams do not.
My No Assumption methodology begins with a diagnostic that identifies exactly where each student’s gaps are, not where their transcript suggests they should be. From there, every session targets the highest-leverage areas first.
