House calls: a day of tutoring in your home, for every student in the family.
A house call is a half day or a full day in your home, usually on a weekend. I cover several subjects in one visit, and siblings are welcome. I live in Athens and drive to you in Roswell, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Alpharetta, Milton, Dunwoody, East Cobb and Johns Creek.
Several children, several subjects.
One day, at your table.
A family with more than one student usually has more than one subject to work on, and a calendar with little room in it. A house call puts the work in one day. I come to your home and take the subjects one student at a time, in an order we settle beforehand.
I do every session myself, so the person at your door is the person who teaches. I live in Athens and drive to you, so I only do a few weekends a month and dates are limited.
A Saturday with two siblings.
An older student in high school and a younger one, with a parent at home. This is an example, not a fixed format. The subjects and the order follow what each student needs.
9:00 · Chemistry
The older student works on chemistry.
10:30 · Algebra 1
The younger student works on Algebra 1.
12:00 · A break
Lunch, and time to reset.
12:45 · The SAT section
The older student takes a section, and we go through it together.
2:15 · The debrief
Fifteen minutes with a parent: what we covered, what I saw, and what comes next.
Ask for a quote →What I bring, what I leave, and how to book.
What I bring
My iPad and the materials for each student’s subjects, prepared before I arrive from what you’ve told me.
What I leave
I send a short written note on each student after the visit: what we covered and what to work on next.
Where I come
Roswell, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Alpharetta, Milton, Dunwoody, East Cobb and Johns Creek. Everything outside those areas is Zoom, in the Eastern time zone. In Athens, I’m in person by availability.
How booking works
You tell me the weekend and the subjects. I reply with a quote and the open dates. Each visit is quoted on its own, once I know the area, the length and the subjects.
Ask for a quote →The weeks in between
On Zoom, with the same screen, the same pen and the same method as the visit.
How a remote session runs →Who this is for
Families in the areas above with more than one student, or one student with more than one subject, who would rather have the work done in one day at home than fit it into a week. Students from middle school through high school, and the SAT.
It is not for families who want a weekly tutor in person. I’m in Athens, so that isn’t something I can do in Atlanta. For weekly work, Zoom is how most of my students meet with me.
“He is thorough and takes his time, and you really can tell he cares a lot.”

Questions I get
Anything not covered here, ask me directly. (706) 389-0528.
Tell me the weekend, the area, the children and the subjects.
Which weekend you have in mind, your neighborhood, each student’s grade, and the subjects. I read every inquiry myself and reply within a day with a quote and the open dates. (706) 389-0528 if a call is easier.
